I am a stay at home mother ex attorney who is trying to create a life worth living along side or in spite of my previous expectations of what that may look like. I am writing about it because I am bored with the runaway bunny. I am posting photographs I took because I enjoy taking them. I am sharing stories from past travels because it is not about the destination, but the journey.
The title for this blog comes from the inspiration I took from a NY Times article about Ikaria, Greece on the life that I want to live:

I have picked up flowers where I found them-
Have picked up sea shells and rocks and pieces of
wood where there were sea shells and rocks and pieces of wood that I liked
When I found the beautiful white bones on the
desert I picked them up and took them home too
I have used these things to say what it is to me the
wideness and wonder of the world as I live in it
